BIG RIP

In cosmology, The Big Rip describes a hypothetical end of the universe — a moment when expansion becomes so powerful that everything slowly tears apart: galaxies, planets, matter itself.

I borrowed this term to speak about aging.

About the body gradually separating from its former strength. About time stretching relationships. About watching someone you love become more fragile — while still refusing to surrender.

When my father, already in his seventies, decided to run an overnight ultramarathon, the project found its natural form.

This is not a story about sport.

It is a story about resistance.
